In this edition of the Aptos Forum interview series, we’re excited to present Fliq, a mobile-first, creator-led platform that is transforming prediction markets. Fliq is where trading meets culture, and culture is built by communities.
In this conversation, we explore Fliq’s vision, the impact of the Aptos ecosystem, and how their platform empowers creators and traders alike. Fliq isn’t just revolutionizing trading; it’s redefining how we interact with markets in a digital world driven by social connection.
Now, let’s dive into the interview together!
Neşe: Can you tell us about your project and its main objectives within the Aptos ecosystem?
Fliq: Fliq is where trading meets culture — and culture is built by communities.
We’re a mobile-first, creator-led prediction market platform that lets anyone trade on real-world outcomes — from elections and crypto to sports and entertainment. No charts. No jargon. Just skill-based, low-stakes trading that feels more like TikTok than Wall Street.
Our mission is to make trading intuitive, social, and wildly accessible — and deeply community-driven. The Fliq experience isn’t just about placing a trade; it’s about being part of a collective pulse — a group of people trading on what they believe, together.
Aptos enables that at scale — with parallel execution, low latency, and gas-efficient UX that lets us bring the experience to millions without compromising speed or affordability.
We’re starting in Web3, but Fliq is built for the world — a new category of trading where markets are shaped by communities, not institutions.
Neşe: What’s one thing about your project that you think would surprise people who aren’t familiar with it?
Fliq: Most people assume prediction markets are niche or just fancy betting. Fliq flips that idea.
Here’s what surprises people: our creators earn a cut of the trading volume on markets they launch. It’s not just traders clicking buttons — it’s influencers, fans, and domain nerds creating markets with their communities and monetizing shared curiosity.
We’ve built a system where anyone’s opinion — if it resonates — can literally move markets. And communities rally around that insight, fueling volume and vibe alike.
Neşe: If your project were an animal, what would it be and why?
Fliq: Fliq would be a dire wolf — sharp, instinctive, and built for the wild.
We’re not lone players. We operate as a pack — scanning signals, hunting trends, and moving fast when it’s time to strike. Like dire wolves, we rely on coordination, trust, and shared momentum to stay ahead.
Our creators and traders don’t just participate — they move as a community with shared conviction.
Dire wolves don’t just play the game — they eat the game.
Howl yeah.
Neşe: What’s the funniest or most unexpected thing that’s happened during your development process?
Fliq: During one of our early tests, our Telegram group — barely 130 people strong — lit up over a random Barça vs. Inter Milan market.
We expected test feedback. Instead, we got full-blown football debates, memes, banter, and wild trades. It turned into our most active market overnight — and our unofficial proof that Fliq’s power lies in community energy.
That tiny group made the market feel like a stadium — and that’s exactly the kind of culture we’re scaling.
Neşe: If you were to make a prediction, which markets do you think will stand out in your project? From what I’ve observed, people are generally drawn to areas related to entertainment and popular culture. What are your thoughts on this?
Fliq: Couldn’t agree more, entertainment and pop culture are already dominating our early traction, and they thrive precisely because they’re community-driven.
Here’s what’s performing best:
Football transfers and match predictions
Bollywood gossip and K-pop comebacks
Crypto memecoins and influencer drama
Election narratives — local and global
The shift we’re betting on? People don’t just want to consume the news — they want to trade on it together. Fliq turns cultural moments into collective action. And when you let people trade on what they already talk about in their group chats, participation skyrockets.
At Fliq, community isn’t just part of the product — it is the product.
