If you have made bridges from e.g. EVM to Aptos, please write about your experience and possible problems. I made a bridge from the Polygon USDC network, unfortunately none of the applications I knew saw these USDCs, so I couldn’t use them, so the funds went back. Strangely enough, they were saved as a native token on the Polygon network and many applications did not see them. I don’t remember which one, but I found one that saw USDC and I changed it to Matic so there would be no problem.
It was a good experience for me without problems.
This depends on what bridge you were using. Most use Layer Zero’s Aptos Bridge and you would have to reach out to Layer Zero support for any issues with bridging. This also applies if you used another bridge, please reach out to their support for more info.
I also noticed that when I tried bridging from sol to aptos on wormhole. Your usdc won’t appear as aptos usdc but as a wrapped usdc which I dont think you can swap. I haven’t tested layerzero bridge though
Two in one cooking innit
I sent it back and replaced it with Matic, it was the only option I had, on Aptos no application was seen, and on Polygon only one DEX
It went smoothly for me mate
I usually use layerzero bridge. It’s pretty safe and secure, peace of mind lol
I noticed that the layerzero bridge is quite friendly to the aptos blockchain than wormhole. hope you got your money back though?
I got it back, but a lot of it went into crossing bridges
yo good and sorry about the losses too. I think they are getting better now though. They are making the interoperability more seamless and easy now. LFG Move and movers(APTOS)
Haven’t tried the wormhole one yet, but Layerzero bridge is really smooth
Portal bridge is actually really good
Yup, Layerzero bridge is top notch also!!
Been using the layerzero one, it’s pretty good. Portal bridge is supposed to be sik too tho
I had a few issues with wormhole myself, layerzero has been top notch, fast without any issues
This transaction here has earned me a spot in $W
Bridging to aptos with wormhole is tricky because they are wrapping the token based on the source chain. You have to pay attention if there is a liquid market for that wrapped token or not. If not you should probably bridge back with wormhole…
I would stick to official LZ bridge, just py POV
Love/hate relationship with Wormhole. My experience wasn’t user friendly. However great tech, looking forward to its further development
