INTRODUCTION.
In this analysis of Aptos for July 2024, we review key metrics and trends showcasing the progress and development of the Aptos Network. This article highlights advancements and notable changes across various metrics, including daily active accounts, new accounts, user transaction count, Total Value Locked (TVL), staking, and liquid staking.

  1. Aptos Active Accounts
    Active accounts indicate community engagement and platform use. In July, daily active accounts peaked at 224,000, with an average of 169,000 and a total of 2.6 million monthly active accounts.

  2. Aptos New Accounts
    Account creation reflects growth and adoption. In July, new accounts peaked at 103,000 on July 3rd, averaging 63,000 daily, with a total of 1.96 million new accounts.

  3. Aptos User Transaction Count
    User transactions highlight activity and engagement. Daily transactions peaked at 3.5 million on July 23rd and 3.9 million on July 29th, averaging over 1 million daily and totaling 32.6 million transactions. Peak TPS reached 8,563.

  4. Aptos Total Value Locked (TVL)
    TVL measures assets locked in DeFi protocols. From July 1st to August 1st:

Base TVL increased by 14.5%, reaching $398.5 million.
Including Liquid Staking, TVL increased by 12.9% to $614.9 million.
Including Liquid Staking and Borrowed Coins, TVL rose by 35.9% to $993.8 million.
5. Aptos Liquid Staking
Liquid Staking TVL increased by 10%, from $196.7 million to $216.5 million. Contributions from five projects include Amnis Finance ($121.8 million) and Thala Labs ($57.8 million).

  1. Aptos Staking
    Staking secures the network and supports governance. The number of staking pools rose to 111, and delegation pools to 34, increasing nodes to 145. Total Stake reached 878.6 million APT, with 219.5 million APT in delegation nodes.
