Aptos Foundation has introduced a proposal to deploy Aave V3 on Aptos Mainnet as part of Aave’s open governance process. Aave Labs has built integration code and deployed it onto the Aptos testnet. If approved, this will be Aave’s first deployment to a non-EVM blockchain. Read our Temp Check proposal:
The integration code is currently being audited, and more information is available on the project’s GitHub:
We look forward to engaging with the Aave community and answering any questions.
Hey Maharsi, I didn’t find this information in the proposal. It might be available in the Aave 2030 plan, which I haven’t read yet. I suggest you take a look that.
Aave deploying on Aptos mainnet is something I didn’t expect to happen this soon. Kudos to the Aave team for exploring a non-EVM blockchain and choosing Aptos as the first one.
The aave migration to move brings a ton of legitimacy to aptos considering its the first non evm integration, especially since they are known for being conservative.
This signals the technical excellence of the chain and makes users more confident to check it out - most will ignore or think its just another partnership… Big news.
This is a nice move by Aave, aptos will remain one of the top Blockchain to interact with in web3,all thanks to our Devs and committed mod and community managers.
Great to hear more projects taking an interest in Aptos, but isn’t Aries market already fulfilling the role of Aave as a borrow/lend platform? Would it not be better to just support current projects on chain or have i got this wrong?
aave brings another level of trust and legitimacy that may bring over whales from ethereum to bridge over and take advantage of the new incentives of up to 2M apt that aptos is providing, you can also see the aave forum where they discuss the migration in more detail.
A big step for the first cross-network collaboration for Aave, the choice with Aptos is the right choice, Aptos with a large community and support from the Aptos foundation is very good
