Aptos is onboarding traders fast, but what’s interesting is how differently they behave once they arrive.
The vast majority of users are low tier. One-time or casual swappers exist as the majority, yet they remain inactive with a minimum of 1 to 2 days activity and only a single protocol to their name.
Next up are the habitués, who perform between 6 and 20 swaps, remain for 5 to 6 days, and visit more protocols as they grow comfortable.
The key participants in liquidity? The advanced traders.
Traders stay active for approximately 18 days, spread across 4 or more protocols, and command trading volumes. More than 80% of these advanced traders participate again within the first week, usually performing multiple trades on the first day.
This illustrates a trend: while a large number of people arrive on Aptos, it’s the active, multi-protocol users who drive the ecosystem’s growth, impacting liquidity, volume, and trading depth.
