One of the most unfortunate aspects of the web3 & Crypto environment is how rife some of our favorite Blogs are stuffed with phoney airdrops using some of our fav web portals… except they are not our favorite sites… they usually have a close url with alterted names and such. always make sure you do your homework!!! this is truly the wild west of crypto!

I wished projects would stick true to the name. They treat it as more of an “airclaim”…
If they would directly deposit into the wallet, it would eliminate 99% of the wallet draining. However projects have tax and legal concerns not to do this most times, so it’s kind of the best we have for now.

Thanks for sounding the alarm! Unfortunately many people are going to loose a lot of money chasing bogus airdrops. This is one of the most popular phishing scams out there.

Man this is spot on. I do see some meaningful improvements however, some projects allow you just to paste your address in without risking connecting your wallet.
Hope to see more of this continue as phishing becomes more rampant.
