nothing official but very likely because pontem has a decked-out ecosystem:

2 nft collections, pontem space pirates and pontem dark ages
liquidswap dex, pool, farm, delegated staking, and a bridge powered by layer0
and then there’s lumio L2

they’d be shooting themselves in the foot if they dont tokenize. note that this is just pure speculation

I personally prefer liquidswap. the interface just looks awesome, having to do 2 confirms per swap isn’t ideal (somehow thalafi only involves 1 i think), but its a cool product nonetheless. the UX fix would be huge though!
